Who we are
Ruubi is a family planning app built and operated by an individual based in Australia. You can contact us at any time at hello@ruubiapp.com.
What information we collect
At this stage, Ruubi is in pre-launch. The only personal information we collect is:
- Your first name
- Your email address
This information is collected when you sign up to our waitlist.
Once Ruubi launches, we’ll also collect the information you choose to enter into the app, such as your family’s names, ages, schedules, and preferences, so we can build your weekly plan. We’ll update this policy before that happens.
Why we collect it
We collect your name and email solely to:
- Notify you when Ruubi launches
- Send you occasional updates about the product
We will never use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
AI and family data
Once Ruubi launches, the information you enter, your family’s schedule, preferences, and priorities, will be sent to an AI model to produce your weekly plan.
We use Anthropic’s Claude API for AI-generated plan content. Your data is processed under Anthropic’s own privacy and data handling policies. We do not permit your family data to be used to train AI models.
Over time, Ruubi learns your family’s patterns to make your plans better. This information is stored securely and linked to your account only. You can request deletion of this data at any time.
How we store it
Right now, your waitlist information is stored securely through Tally, our form provider. Tally is GDPR compliant and does not sell your data to third parties. You can read Tally’s privacy policy.
Once the app is live, your data will be stored using Supabase, with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices and limit access to your data to only those who need it to operate Ruubi.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for their own purposes. Full stop.
We only share information with the services needed to run Ruubi:
- Tally, waitlist form collection
- Anthropic, AI plan generation (Claude API)
- Supabase, secure database and authentication
- Resend, email delivery of your family plan
- Vercel / Netlify, website and app hosting
All third-party services we use are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We will only disclose your information to law enforcement if legally required to do so.
Ruubi is operated from Australia. Your data may be processed by our service providers in other countries, including the United States. By using Ruubi, you consent to this transfer.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access, request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct, ask us to fix any inaccurate information
- Delete, ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Opt out, unsubscribe from any emails we send you at any time
- Complain, lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we’ve mishandled your data

Children’s privacy
Ruubi is designed for adults managing family life. While information about children, such as names, ages, and schedules, may be entered into the app by a parent or guardian, Ruubi is not directed at children and is not intended to be used directly by them.
Cookies
Our website does not currently use cookies or any tracking technologies beyond what’s essential to run the site and the Tally waitlist form.
Australian Privacy Law
We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are located in the European Union, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Changes to this policy
If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. We’ll also let you know by email if the changes are significant.
